DetailThis Kidde 10-Year Worry Free Battery Wireless Smoke Alarm features voice alert and wireless interconnectivity. Powered by a 10-year battery that lasts the life of the alarm, no battery installation or replacement is necessary. An 'end of life' warning will alert you when it is time to replace the entire unit. The voice alarm announces 'Fire!' if a hazard is detected and indicates when the Smart Hush feature has been activated. This alarm features wire-free interconnectivity with other Kidde 10-Year Wire-Free Interconnect alarms. If one unit is triggered, all interconnected alarms will sound. Wire-free interconnectivity allows for easy interconnect setup and eliminates the need for expensive rewiring. You can even install this smoke detector in a detached garage or workshop and be alerted by another detector in the house. - A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple station arrangement; the interconnect system must not exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms; with 18 initiating devices (smoke, heat, CO, etc.) interconnected, it is still possible to interconnect 6 strobe lights and/or relay modules
